Since 2006, he has been working at the Voronezh state technical University (formerly the Voronezh state University of architecture and construction). In 2005-2008, he studied in full-time graduate school at the Department of heating and ventilation at VGASU. in 2008, he successfully defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical Sciences in the specialty 05.23.03-heat Supply, ventilation, air conditioning, gas supply and lighting. He started his professional career as an engineer, then head of the laboratory of the Department of heating and ventilation, then assistant Professor.
After the reorganization of VSTU and VGASU, he became the head of the Department of housing and communal services, and then was elected to the position of Dean of the faculty of engineering systems and structures.
In his work, he pays considerable attention to solving urgent problems of housing and communal infrastructure. S. A. Yaremenko is a regional expert of the housing reform assistance Fund for energy efficient overhaul.
With the direct participation of S. A. Yaremenko, research is being conducted on the theory and technological basis of designing and operating systems to ensure the microclimate of buildings and structures, optimizing energy consumption by construction and housing facilities.
